Has it only been 30 hours since she was born? It has seemed liked seconds and decades all at the same time. She slept most of the first day leading us to believe that we have in fact had the perfect baby. We were warned that this brand new baby behavior would fade by the first evening, but the first night wasn't bad at all. She did cry for apparently no reason, but after some cuddling with daddy she loudly farted and then immediately fell asleep. Elliot is a great breast feeder and has impressed everyone. Judging by the many wet and dirty diapers, she is getting plenty of nourishment and daddy is getting plenty of practice.
On day 1, Elliot already got to meet some of the great people that will be a part of her life. Between guests, gifts, and wonderful messages, we believe Elliot is starting to see what her parents already know -- how loved and blessed the three of us truly are. Elliot can't wait to meet ya'll in person.
